10 Summer Smoothie Recipes

Warm mornings, hot days and long nights means summer is here! Summer is the perfect time to start making smoothies! I have at least one smoothie a day because I love them so much! They are a great way to get your 5 a day and they are a super refreshing and filling snack. In my top 10 go-to summer smoothie recipes I’ve included a mix of breakfast smoothies, smoothie bowls, fruit and veg blends so there’s something for every taste and time. These super easy recipes bring summer to life with tastes from the tropics and things you have at home. 

Banana Breakfast Smoothie

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of dried oats
  • 1 cup of rice or almond milk (add more to create desired consistency)
  • Honey (optional)
  •  

Super Berry Smoothie bowl

Smoothie bowls are made a little thicker using yogurt, so you can eat it with a spoon.

  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 cup of rasberries
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 3/4 tbs of natural yogurt  (more if you want it thicker)
  • save some berries  and a handful of your favourite seeds to top it with

Carrot & Ginger Detox Smoothie

  • 1 carrot peeled and chopped
  • 2 large oranges
  • 1 inch of fresh ginger
  • Feel free to add a little sugar or honey if its too bitter for your tasting

Green Super Hero Smoothie

  • a handful of fresh spinach
  • half a pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 mango 
  • blueberries to top 

Pina Colada Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • half a pineapple
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • a handful of ice cubes

Refreshing Watermelon Smoothie

  • 1 small watermelon
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbs honey or maple syrup 
  • mint to garnish

Chocolate lovers Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbs of creamy peanut butter
  • a drop of vanilla extract for extra flavour
  • half a cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup almond milk

Kiwi Apple Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • 1 green apple
  • 3 kiwis
  • a handful of fresh spinach 
  • 2 tbs natural yogurt
  • add water for desired consistency 

 

Orange Dream

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 orange
  • 1 tbs of natural greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • option to add honey and/or vanilla extract to taste 

Banana Mamma Smoothie

  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 cup of pineapple chunks
  • half a cup of shredded coconut flakes
  • half a cup of coconut milk
  • a quarter cup of white chocolate chips
